Call for proposals
The Call for proposals is organized within the framework of the ProEUvaluesBG Project.
The call for proposals starts on April 12th, 2023.
The aim of the call for proposals is to support initiatives of civic organizations contributing to:
(1) raising awareness of the values of the EU, as well as protecting and promoting the implementation of these values in Bulgaria, including the values of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities;
(2) strengthening the capacity and role of civil organizations in promoting and protecting these values.
The competition provides financial support for initiatives of civil organizations with a total indicative value of 1,600,000 euros, equally distributed in two funds.
As part of the competition, financial support is expected to be provided for initiatives of civil organizations with a total indicative value of 1,600,000 euros, distributed equally between two funds:
- The Action Fund for initiatives with grant funding of up to 60,000 euros. The fund is managed by the Open Society Institute – Sofia Foundation (OSI-Sofia) and has a total value of 800,000 euros. It is expected to support approximately 15 initiatives of civil organizations that demonstrate knowledge of EU values and aim to achieve significant impact at the national or regional level.
- The Together Fund for initiatives with grant funding of up to 20,000 euros. The fund is managed by the Workshop for Civil Initiatives Foundation and has a total value of 800,000 euros. It is expected to finance approximately 45 initiatives of civil organizations, often working outside major urban centers and aiming to achieve an effect for specific communities usually at the local level.
Applicant organizations, as well as those with supported initiatives and concepts, will have access to various forms of practical knowledge and skills-building, as well as exchange of experience, including within the training program “Roadmap”, implemented by the international non-governmental association “European Citizen Action Service” (ECAS).
