EU Rights and Values Online Course

Here you will find an innovative online training course developed within the “Strengthening the Role of Civil Society Organizations in Bulgaria for the Protection and Promotion of Fundamental European Rights and Values” project, implemented with the financial support of the European Union under the “Citizens, Equality, Rights, and Values” (CERV) programme.

The course offers a comprehensive learning experience through 12 practice-oriented modules, organised into three core thematic areas: European Rights and Values, Democracy, and Diversity and Equality. The content covers a broad spectrum of topics related to the fundamental rights and values of the European Union, while also incorporating valuable practical experience and lessons learned from initiatives supported by the project’s Action and Together Funds.

During the course, participants will engage with key subjects such as European values and EU citizenship, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU and its protection mechanisms, the role of EU institutions, the rule of law, media freedom, social pluralism, and other pressing contemporary issues.

Each module is designed with a strong emphasis on practical application and includes short self-assessment quizzes to support the learning process. Upon successful completion of the course, participants are awarded a certificate recognizing knowledge they have gained.

The training is tailored for civil society organisations and active citizens seeking to enhance their understanding of EU rights and values, as well as to strengthen their capacity to apply and protect them effectively.

The course content is available in both Bulgarian and English. Getting started is easy – users only need to complete a brief registration process.
