Representatives of civil society organisations and community cultural centres (chitalishta) from across the country took part in the information meeting on the additional call under the “Together” Fund, held on 15 May in Sofia. The event attracted strong interest from active local-level organisations seeking support to implement projects focused on promoting European values, EU rights, democracy, diversity, and equality.
During the meeting, participants received detailed information about the call conditions, including applicant eligibility, deadlines, eligible activities, and budget scope. Special emphasis was placed on the opportunity to apply without a co-financing requirement, as well as on the flexible project format, with a duration of up to 6 months and funding ranging between EUR 10,000 and EUR 20,000.
As part of the Q&A session, attendees had the opportunity to receive clear and specific clarifications directly from the project team and to discuss potential ideas with other participants. The “Together” Fund is part of the project “Strengthening the Role of Civil Society Organisations in Bulgaria in Protecting and Promoting Fundamental European Rights and Values” (ProEUvaluesBG), hereinafter referred to as the “Rights and Values” project. The project is implemented in partnership by the Open Society Institute – Sofia Foundation (OSI–Sofia), the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF/FRGI), and the international non-governmental organisation ECAS (European Citizen Action Service).
The project is funded by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme, with a budget of EUR 2,570,299, representing 90% of the total funding. The funding authority is the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
